What do you think about that amount of donated money being put towards a statue? Do you think it is positive because so many workers have employment, and it may bring new economic life to the area and a new spiritual attraction to Thimphu? Or do you think such funding could have been better used?
Do you know if the people building the Buddha are Bhutanese artists or Indian laborers?
This will be a one of the major tourist attractions in the area but may not bring as much economic benefit to the surrounding areas as we think.
